The identity of the Atlas Cedar is rather masculine, as it is wooded and relatively strong. The essential oil of Atlas Cedar gives off a virile and powerful scent, which is readily associated with the smells of tanned leather.


Native to North Africa, the Atlas Cedar is an immense and imposing tree, from 25 to 50 meters, which flourishes in the mountainous areas of the Moroccan Middle Atlas between 1500 and 2000 meters. The essential oil, recognizable by its woody smell, is obtained by complete steam distillation:

Precautions for use

Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, the eye contour or in the ears.

In case of contact, apply a vegetable oil abundantly, then rinse with water.

Consult a doctor promptly.

Essential oils must be diluted before application.

Keep out of reach and out of sight of children.

Some oils can be irritating or sensitizing.

Carry out a skin tolerance test before use.

Atlas Cedar essential oil may be irritating, sensitizing or may present some toxicity at high doses or in the long term.

The use of essential oils is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, epileptics, hypersensitive people, and more generally people with health problems.

Do not use essential oils in babies and children.
